Eligibility Criteria
Qualifying Examination
Candidates must have passed the 10+2 or equivalent examination recognized by the respective Board with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English as compulsory subjects. Admission is based on the eligibility criteria prescribed by the Indian Nursing Council and the respective University.
Marks
Minimum 45% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology taken together.
40% aggregate marks for SC/ST/OBC candidates as per Government norms.
Age Limit
Candidate must have completed 17 years of age on or before 31st December of the year of admission.
The maximum age limit is 35 years as per INC regulations.
Candidate should be medically fit for admission to the programme.
Course Duration
The Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.Sc. Nursing) is a 4-year full-time undergraduate programme comprising 8 semesters under the Credit and Semester System.
The programme follows a competency-based and outcome-based curriculum, integrating classroom teaching, skill laboratory training, simulation-based education, clinical practice, community health postings, elective modules, and an intensive internship in the final semester.

Internship
The eighth semester consists of an Intensive Clinical Practicum (Residency Posting) that provides comprehensive hands-on experience in patient care across various specialties. Students work under the supervision of nursing faculty and clinical preceptors to integrate theoretical knowledge with professional nursing practice.
The internship enables students to develop competence in patient assessment, clinical decision-making, nursing procedures, leadership, communication, documentation, patient education, interdisciplinary teamwork, evidence-based practice, and quality healthcare delivery. Successful completion of all clinical requirements and the internship is mandatory for the award of the Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree.
